Juande Ramos' Track Records

Take a look at the 54-year-old's track record in football.

1954: September 25 - Born Juan de la Cruz Ramos in Pedro Munoz, Ciudad Real, Spain.

1993: After an unspectacular playing career, during which time he played for Elche, Ramos gets his first coaching role at Alcoyano.

1994: After barely a year he takes over at Levante.

1995: Takes charge of Logrones.

1996: Spends a year as coach of Barcelona's B side.

1997: Remains in Catalonia, taking a job as coach of second division side, Lleida.

1998: Moves to Rayo Vallecano where he enjoyed his longest stint as a boss, remaining there for three years. Guides Rayo to the Primera Division with promotion in 1999 and progressed to the Uefa Cup quarter-finals in the 2000-01 campaign.

2001: Earns his first crack at the big time as coach of Seville giants Real Betis.

2002: After his doomed spell in Andalucia, he takes charge briefly at Espanyol.

2003: Goes some way to resurrecting his career with Malaga, guiding them to 10th place in the top division.

2005: Takes over from Joaquin Caparros as Sevilla boss.

2006: May - wins Uefa Cup with a resounding 4-0 win over Middlesbrough.

August - Adds European Super Cup to the club's trophy cabinet, beating Champions League winners Barcelona 3-0.

2007: February - Knocked unconscious by a bottle thrown by a Real Betis fan during a Copa del Rey tie between the Seville rivals. The match is abandoned.

May - Sevilla retains the Uefa Cup, beating La Liga rival, Espanyol, in the Glasgow final on penalties.

June - Sevilla mount a sustained La Liga title challenge with their successful brand of fast-paced, attacking football but eventually lose out to Real Madrid, finishing third behind Barcelona.

Sevilla win Spanish Cup (Copa del Rey), beating Getafe.

August - Adds Spanish Supercopa to his collection with 6-3 aggregate win over league champion, Madrid.

Plays down speculation of a move to White Hart Lane after meeting with Tottenham officials.

October 26 - Tenders resignation as Sevilla boss following reports he was set to be announced as Tottenham's new manager.

October 27 - Tottenham confirm Ramos as new head coach.

2008: February 24 - Tottenham came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley and wins the Carling Cup - its first major honour since 1999.

August 30 - Striker Roman Pavlyuchenko was signed as the only direct replacement for Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane, who were both sold over the summer.

October 19 - A defeat at Stoke leaves Spurs with two points, and no wins, from its first eight league games - representing its worst ever start to a season.

October 23 - Tottenham begin its Uefa Cup group campaign with a poor 2-0 defeat at Udinese.

October 25 - Spurs confirm Ramos was leaving the club along with sporting director, Damien Comolli, and first-team coaches, Marcos Alvarez and Gus Poyet. Harry Redknapp reveals he has agreed to take charge.
